Re: GEMSda50 wiring help
OK...
I happen to have a copy of a wiring diagram for a DA50 that should suit your purposes.
If you need to program it, you'll probably nee the DLOG software which we might still have. I will have to check.
I have attached a manual for that for your interest.
Best regards, RickS
PS. As a matter of interest, what was the asking price of the DA50 on eBay..?

Hello rick the user manual is a great help only thing is the wiring diagram is for Mitsubishi evo do you think you would have a diagram for escort cosworth or would it be ok to work from the Mitsubishi diagram.

Apologies for the delay in replying (was away and folks busy here so the forum was neglected for a day or two)....
I'll have a look and see what I can find regarding a Cozzie wiring diagram and post what I find here. I know that we have done a little work with Escorts but can't tell you exactly what, before my time!

cheers rick - that would be great .
Re: GEMSda50 wiring help
Just to confirm, if you are referring to the schematic of the DA50 loom, I don't believe that the DA50 gives a hoot what it's connected to. An EVO oil pressure sensor will have an analogue range similar to that of the Escort (etc. etc. ), I believe.
I will check with the 'originator' when I can and let you know.
BR, RickS
** Update ** It matters not what you connect the DA50 to, so even though the schematic shows EVO4, the pin-out will work for your Escort. The diagram was designed for a Mitsubishi but serves as a guide for all.

Re: GEMSda50 wiring help

Re: GEMSda50 wiring help
Good morning....
I will check with those who know this product and post responses....
Odd, if the analogues that you mention are directly connected to the DA50 and you are not getting data from any of them.
I believe that the 'No Signal Com' message, is produced when there are no data being transmitted/received from the ECU, so is normal if the Logger is not connected to the ECU in any way, but I check and confirm.
Regards, RickS

GEMSda50 wiring help
Exactly what DBW module or controller are you using ?
The little external box would usually be configured as low side for the output on the ecu, not half bridge.

Re: GEMSda50 wiring help
DBW design internal to GEMS hardware and proprietary.
Active throttle data available on the CAN bus for logging purposes.
