Hi,
I am working with Subaru2002/Subaru85 ECU version 0.75.
Serial Number 33271.
The physical tacho in the original vehicle Dash is showing a lot higher rpm than the GEMS ECU.
The Tacho Edge Table shows five ON cells at Tooth 2, 10, 17, 26 and 28.
I have read through the Subaru2002 manual but have not been able to figure out the logic/option to change the Tacho output, for me to be able to adjust the vehicle dash tachometer to show the correct value.
Can someone here guide me if there is an option to adjust this and if so, how?
Regards
Bjorgvin

Re: Subaru2002 - ECU - Dash Tacho correlation
Good morning.
Not sure what the 5th tooth reference (28) is in there for. The manual states, "If table value set 'On',then tacho drive will change state, typically 4 'ons' will be required per rev".
Possibly someone has been playing with the calibration in the past and it's an error that has gone unnoticed.
It's been a while since I looked into one of these but I am pretty sure that you only need 4 reference points. Our Fast Road map, which is one of our base 2002 calibrations, has 2,10,17 and 26 set to 'ON'. This particular calibration is available for download from our website, if you need it as a point of reference.
Please try this and let me know if it sorts the problem.
Best regards, RickS

Hi RickS,
You were of course spot on.
The 5th tooth reference was additional.
Seems to have been leftover from previous tuning.
Thanks for the support.
