Evo 5 ECU able to run MIVEC

I am looking to put an Evo 9 engine into Evo 5 and wonder if my ECU will have required capabilities to run mivec, ie extra cam sensor and mivec solenoid? If not will I need to get new Evo 9 ECU and Evo 9 harness? If anyone has done this conversion please get in touch and let me know about it.

If a GEMS ECU, would you let us know the ECU model and version number. A serial number would be perfect (S/N nnnnn) and I will be able to track it's history and see if any mods have been carried out. I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
If this is a GEMS ECU and there have been no modifications, then 'no', Valve Control is not available.
