Hi,
Is there any particular model of Wideband sensor that the Evo X PNP ecu can use?
Do we use the 4 wire or 5 wire wideband lambda sensor?

Hi,
Yes use a 5 wire type wideband lambda. The most commonly used lambda sensor that we have worked with is the Bosch part no. 0 258 007 057 or otherwise known as #3737 O2 sensor by innovate. The Evo X ECU has an internal wideband amplifyer so no other boxes are needed between the ECU and the sensor. Just set the input to wideband as described in the manual.

Ok, Can you elaborate which wire goes to which ecu pin?
The ECU has 4 pins for Lambda. Where do you connect the fifth wire of the lambda?
The pin out for the lambda sensor is stated as below:-
LSU wire LSU Pin Numbers
Colour -- Name - Pin Number
Red ------- Ip ------- 6
Black ----- Vs ------- 1
Yellow --- Vs/Ip ---- 5
White ---- H- ------- 4
Grey ----- H+ ------ 3

What I did was I connected Yellow, Red, Black and White to pins 54, 55, 56, 34 respectively of the Ecu following the wiring diagram. Then for the Grey wire I conencted to switched +12V.
The option 'oxygen 1 source' is then set to 19
That gave me the lamabda readings I needed.

Can I replace genuine Front Oxygen sensor with Bosch LSU4.2?
If I can replace the sensor, I want to use pin34(Output27) for Bosch LSU4.2's Heater, is it possible?

Hi,
Yes it is possible to replace the genuine one with the Wideband one. I used the Wide Band Sensor instead of the original sensor and used pin 34 for heater.
I then set oxygen 1 sensor option to 19.

Good morning and sorry for the delay in replying.
Just swapping to the wide-band sensor wouldn't noticeably improve performance of the car but it will give you much better control over the AFR, once set-up with the Lambda Target map.
This can of course provide better performance, allowing a slightly richer AFR when engine RPM and engine Load increases and slightly leaner setting at low load, cruising an idle which will help with petrol consumption.
