I think i have dug up a little of Gems's history here.

I have a customer with 3 MINI6CYL ecu's ver 1.15

I am trying to get the manual and a gin file for them. I know these mini ecu's were very popular back in the day. So i am hoping they still have some info out there.

Gosh....
Yes, these will date back to the late 90's, 1997 I believe.

They were based on the MINI-ZETA, which had 2 fuel and 2 ignition ports. One of the ignition ports was sacrificed to provide 3 fuelling ports, so they must have run semi-sequentially with a distributor.

I'll see what documentation I can find but it won't be much, if anything.
Will post what I can find on here.

I can find a .GIN file for V1.22 but nothing for V1.15. All that I can suggest is one of two options, that we can try if your customer wants to progress this. One, is to return the units to us for a firmware upgrade, or, if your customer still has the .INI file for V1.15,(it would have been used in our old 'GEMSCOM' calibration software) we can recreate the .GIN from that.

Let us know if the customer has the .INI file as that will be the easiest scenario for all..
Best regards,
RickS...

The time line was the the 90's sounds about right. The engine does have a dissy on it.

Unfortunately the owner never had the software and the person that used to be responsible for tuning it is no where to be found.

Even just a pin out for the main connector and a pint out for the com port on the board. it is not the typical gems connector, this one has 4 pins instead of your now 3 pin connector.

i have not used gemscom since about 99 ro 2000 :O memories there..!!

Still searching for a pin-out description for the MINI-MISS6CYL to give it is's full moniker but I have attached a small photo, showing the layout of the jumper (JP2 in this case) for the comms.

Red = Tx
Blue = Rx
Green = Ground

Is the main connector a 15 pin 'D' type, similar to the one in the shot..?

Hay Rick,

Yes it is the same connector, that board shot with the color codes help a lot.
I will mill a slot in the case and add a simple db9 connector.

Have a lead on a possible disk with info on it, but it is doggy at best to find it, so if you find anything please let me know.

Well - Look here..!
I have managed to track down a small document, showing the 15 way main connector for the '3 injector model'.

Lets keep this just between us, otherwise everyone will want a copy..!

That is perfect, You are a star.

I am going to pickup the disket sometime today, it looks to be in ruff shape, but i am hoping at least the ini file is ok.

P.S i will not tell a soul ;)

Rather than post the .INI file here, provided that you find it, send it over to the 'tech . support' email address, so that I can pass it to the department who will try to resurrect it.
