Wideband on Subaru2002 iss.D sub85

Hi,

I am working with PnP Subaru2002 iss.D with Sub85.

There is connected 4 wire narrow band sensor to it, which seems to be working.
As far as I understand the ECU i able to control a wideband sensors.
I would like to use Bosch LSU 4.2 with the ECU.

The heater wires in existing narrow band connection are easy to locate but any guidance for other connection (Ip and VS) and suggested setup changes in GWv4 would be appreciated.

I'll check on the wideband compatibility but to do that I'll need the version number of the firmware that is installed in your 2002. Any chance that you can get me that information and pass it on..?

I know that you WILL need an external amplifier (such as the AEM unit) and also note that the Lambda input is a 'differential' input, so the 'Lambda -' is a floating ground, not a fixed ground...

In the meantime, I have attached a 2002 pin-out for you to have a look at and might give some help.

Hi,

Would I be better off using a analog output from Innovate LC-1 into the ECU oxygen sensor Analog input instead of trying to wire wideband sensor directly to the ECU?

Do you know if the analog input for the Oxygen sensor in the ECU is 0 - 1V or 0 - 5V.

I can see in the GWv4 that the input Oxygen raw #1input is split into 256 bits.
I could then adapt that table to the output from the LC-1.

I will check this and confirm with you later today but I know that the Lambda input for this ECU has a x3 gain.
So, from that I guess, that the differential input would be -1.0v to +1.0v.

I am aware that the LC-1 has been successfully used with LAN85 code, so I think that you will OK but I will confirm with those who know this ECU better than I (I've not been around that long)..!
