Wastegate frequency

Morning guys.

An EVO i working on never had ecu controlled boost.
I am converting the stock boost control valve to a 3 sport solenoid and connecting it to the GeMs. I need to use a frequency between 20 and 33mhz.

The wastegate period is set at 150us, how do i convert that to frequency.

I got 1 Hz = 1000000 µs but that really does not seem right.

150μs = 6.666667 kHz

so a 30hz PWM freq is 30000μs

Will the GeMs support this ?

I'll certainly check for you.
Please let me know what version of firmware the ECU has installed and I'll check the archive. (Different firmware, possibly different specification).

A look at the data sheet for the valve would help also...

The ecu is a Lancer evo 6 rally implant. firmware G2.41

The valve is a common 3 port MAC valve. 19 to 33mhz is common control frequency

OK...
With the G2.41, you have an option 'WG Period'.
This can be set from 0.00μS to 510.00μS.

You mention 19-33'mHz'. To take 30mHz as an example, that would convert to 0.03333μS, which the ECU can not do.
Most solenoid valves operate operate between 15-50Hz, not mHz, (25-50 times a second). I could be wrong with yours, so please check and confirm.

A value for WG Period of 130-150μS should be OK for your use, if the above is correct.

Force of habit to put MHZ from my line of work (typing muscle memory)

the valve is 30HZ (feel a little embarrassed),

No need.
Easily done...
