Evo X ACD Bleed Procedure

Is there a specific bleeding procedure with the GEMS ACD controller?

I am having difficulty bleeding a Harry Hockly upgraded pump after removing it for maintenance. The pump is making a sea lion like noise and the accumulator pressure is not increasing beyond 1.8-2.0bar despite trying a variety of pressure demands in excess of this.

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Thanks in advance.

It does sound as if there is an air lock....
I've not come across this pump before, so may not be of much help.

All that I can remember being told, is that, to get the ACD pump to cycle, turn the car's ignition on with the accelerator pedal floored. This will usually cause the pump to run for several seconds and allow it to prime properly. It will need to be done several times, so repeat this until you reach the pressure that you're system needs. If I remember correctly, this should be 14-15 bar with the pump stopped.

Please check these figures, as I'm doing this from memory (and it's not that good this time of the morning!)

The Hockly pump is an ODD animal.

The noise you are hearing is the pump bleeding off pressure (blowing open the relief valve).

You need to make sure a few settings are right first.
Accumulator Filter c = 77
Accumulator Max = 16
Accumulator Min = 14
Accumulator Offset = 7
Accumulator Scalar = 0.2699
Closed loop Int = 100
Closed loop Prop = 100

if these settings are all right. then you have a bad pressure sensor on the pump.

Hope that this helped resolve the issue...
