How to make connection for mapping/PC COMM?
Dongel is there and operating.
Can't find any instructions nor schematics.
PCB has round 5.5mm 3-pole plug soldered to pinout.
Please help.
Thanks
Kris

Hi Kris.
I have attached a small document going through the details of how to connect, what coms cables to use, how to allocate an appropriate COM or USB port, baud rates etc. etc.

If you need a manual for the 2.41 firmware, drop me an eMail to tech (dot) support (at) gems.co.uk and I will send one over.

Best regards,
RickS

Hi Rick,
thanks for a swift answer.
I need to make the cable. As said 3-pole OD 5.5mm plug comes from PCB. So I need to start with the hardware firstly.
What type plug is that on your PCB, what pin layout?
I need to connect via USB, do you have schematics for a cable like that?
Once hardware is figured, I'm confident now I will get COMM done.

Thanks for your effort
Cheers

It' a '3 pin binder' connection that carries serial data, the connections of which are in the attached graphic. THe ground goes to the middle pin and the TX/RX are pins 1 and 3. If wired incorrectly (no data transmission), just swap them over.

If you are connecting the serial output from the ECU to a USB port on your computer/laptop, you will need a serial to USB converter, such as an ATEN or FTDI.
