Aspect Files Requests

Post by RickS » Thu Oct 14, 2010 5:57 pm

Hi All,

Thought I would create a section of the forum for requesting aspect files. If you've not used one of these before they are found under File - Open/Save calibration aspect in GWv4. Calibration aspects allow the transfer data between calibrations. For example I can save anything from a coolant sensor calibration table for a particular sensor and save it as an aspect file to an timing pattern and options for a 60-2 trigger wheel with 1 cam tooth. I will post these files on the downloads - aspect files section of the website for people to download and incorporate into their calibrations.

If there are any sensors/timing patterns injector battery duty tables ign coil dwell tables you need an aspect file for then please request them here. If you have any aspect files you think other users could benifit from then please post them here as well.

Thanks
Ed

These may be the usual ones:

WB lambda sensor system
Innovate LC1 and recommended setup with and in it

temp sensors
Bosch 0 280 130 085 air temp
Bosch 0 280 130 026 / 040 water temp
Bosch 0 280 130 170 oil temp to spare AD channel with for example 1k8 pull-up to 5Vdc

coils
Bosch 0 221 503 407 wasted spark 2x2 coil
Bosch 0 221 503 002 wasted spark 3x2 coil
Honda S2000 coil module
Honda Civic TypeR coil modules, both new and preceding
Audi/VW 06E 905 115 E coil module
GM D514A coil module
GM D580 coil module
GM D581 coil module
GM D585 coil module
034Motorsport coil
034Motorsport coil module

cam/crank setup for Nissan 350Z, VQ35DE engine
variable cams control setup for same

Thanks!

I use mainly EM36 (firmware 00V89), but I think these characterisations are usable for other ecu's as well. EM40 is very similar, and I think that X25 also.

Eg. temp sensors if pull-up resistors are same, and coil dwell setup should be same if voltage measurement is checked and adjusted correctly.

I'm not asking these for myself, I have used all these sensors and coils with success. But I find it painful :) to fill every table and set up many options everytime I install some known sensor or coil type. So I think that this helps all of us. I know AEM guys have done some of this already but seems that their numbers don't transfer accurately enough.

Anyway, Thanks again!

Hello,

Yes EM36 and EM40 are the same and similar to lancer and subaru plug and play but the X25 and some others have different raw values. Because they are different gins as well we have to save different files.

Thanks for the list i will work on setting these up. Hopefully you have set up your own aspect files so you don't have to enter all those values again and again.

Thanks
Ed

I will check for you but I believe that the EVO-9s that we have were setup for a 4 tooth pattern but reading both edges of each tooth.

What firmware version are you using..?

If I can find anything, I'll post it here....
Regards, RickS
