Hi,
I have some DA1 logger and one of them is many time not reconised by windows who says " unknow device connected ".
I try to install the latest driver but windows doesn't want them and said "could not find suitable driver for your device in the folder you choose.
The other DA1 that we are using are working properly.
I try on different laptop and it's the same.
Some times we conected it and it's well reconised by the laptop as Gems logger but not all the time.
Reboot laptop have no effect

Unfortunatly it sounds like your DA1 needs to come back for repair as it sounds like a loose connection within the device.
