Idle Valve for Mitsubshi

Post by evosoh » Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:29 pm

Hi,

I'm currently using the plug n play module for the Evo 8 v2.75. If I were to change to a bigger throttle body without a built in Idle Valve, can I use another type of Idle Valve?

If so, which type can I use?

Thanks and Regards
Terence

Hi

You can use a spare PWM output from the ECU to control an off the shelf Idle controller, or perhaps use one of the wastegate bypass valves.

Or you could cut the throttle body of the standard stepper motor idle controller and use that.

There are a few ways of doing it.

Hope this helps.

Idle Valve for Mitsubshi

Thanks for reply.

If I use a spare pwm output for the control of the idle valve, how do I assign that output as the idle valve output?

Would there be any way to control idle options with A/C, and with anti-lag?

If so, kindly explain procedure.

Thanks
