subaru 2002 als wiring

hi
which pin dose the switched live go to for the als for a 2002 subaru 5 plug ecu,

we have had to reshell car and some stage the wire has been disconected and dont know which is correct pin.
the black and white from ecu has been cut ,dose the switched live go to this pin?

Hi,

The standard pin is A17. The wire colour for this is supposed to be black and white. the pin is selsectable inside the ECU though so it is possible it could be changed if someone connected to it.

Hi,

it's usually a switched earth but again it can be changed inside the software. Most of the pins are protected so as far as i know you should be safe trying both. Try switching it to earth first though.

all sorted now ,just to let other people know if they get this trouble .
On our ecu it was pin A18 that was for als and it was a switch live to it .

Hi,

Excellent glad thats cleared up. The ALS can be on any of the switch pins. A17 is what we send out with most of our base maps and it is usually switched to earth but we can see in this case it has been changed at some point.
