2002 R series impreza PBW settings

Post by Haitz » Thu May 21, 2009 8:56 pm

Hello, first of all sorry for my bad english. I have the R series 2002 impreza ecu, I have connected the ALS switch to pin number 28, I can see that the ALS switch is ON on the screen, but PBW MODE , PBW N ACTIVE... are OFF. I have tryed to active the ALS limiting the Rev Flimit/TPS and Rev I limit/tps at low loads, and also retarding the main ignition table
( low loads, high revs)to " - " values, but the car goes like jumping at some low loads. This way, I can hear something similar to ALS noise. But, Is there any other way to tune the ALS???
many thanks.

Hi Haitz,

I passed your question on to one of our engineers as i couldn't understand why PBW mode wasn't changing but hes been very very busy so my apologees for not checking back with you sooner. I will try to answer to the best of my ability but I am not a calibration engineer so i cannot tell you how to set the tables. Those are the tables you need for the ALS. I would set rev rtd limit to say 7000rpm accross have an igniton cut at about 7100 and a fuel cut at 7200rpm. The rpm will be unstable at idle but it should be smooth progressive rises and falls in the rpm by about 700rpm.

Hope this helps
Ed
