I need to download the LANCER7K G2.46 Gin File but it's not available. How can I have it, or which one I need to download instead of this one.

Thanks

Hi,

I download the Lancer7 K S2.46 gin file and It doesn't work with it. then I download all the EVO 7 and 8 gin file available and it still doesn't work, both with GVv3 and GVv4. it's written (LANCER7/02X447)(LANCER7K G2.46) on the ECU
Could you please tell me how to do.

Thanks,

Regards,

Jérôme

Hi,

By doesn't work with it do you mean you click connect the software finds the ecu and then won't install the gin?
Or are you struggling to even get a found ECU message?

Thanks
Ed

Hi,
What I have done is
-Open GWv4
-Baud rate 9600
-ECU connect
-Then it search and flash message said "The required ECU (P4)is not installed. Run the install ECU wizard?"
-I choose my folder with all the gin files
-It says "bad gin files"

Thanks,

Jérôme

Hi,

Firstly please download the latest version of GWv4 if you have not already. Our last release was yesterday i think.
Now try a manual install on the GIN file by selecting 'Install ECU' in the 'ECU' menu. Select the option 'Manual Install' and then select the GIN file.

When you try to connect to the ECU there is a status window that appears at the bottem of the screen what does it say in there?

Thanks
Ed

Hi,

Apologies, please download GWv4 again as the latest version wasn't on the website and we have done a lot of work on comms problems with it.

Thankyou
Ed

Hi,

I download the latest version of GWv4 and install lance7k S2.56 and then try to connect then it make this :

Opening Connection on COM1 (Port de communication)...
Identifying ECU
Baud rate set at 9600
Error: Rx Timeout Partial Transfer
Identified ECU: LANCER7kS2.46
Reading checksums...
Error: Verify
Reading checksums failed. (written in red)
Error: Verify
Receiving calibration...
Error: Verify

but when I abort this, the ECU is online (at the bottom right)
and when I try to upload a calibration it make this :

Opening Connection on COM1 (Port de communication)...
Identifying ECU
Baud rate set at 9600
Error: Rx Timeout Partial Transfer
Identified ECU: LANCER7kS2.46
Checking not running flag...
Error: Verify

Are you using a USB to Serial converter?

Have you got the Comm Port setup correctly? Go to ECU Connection setup, click the advanced tab and select the corret comm port and click apply.

Although i'm faily sure your's is not try a baud rate 0f 38400 as well as some of the later lancer 7K's used this. Change the Baud rate in the ECU connection setup tab and not the connecting box if possible.

Hope this helps
