I can't connect to the ECU

There are several reasons that connecting to the ECU may fail:

* Incorrect port selected
* Incorrect baudrate selected
* Poor connection

If you are certain that you have the correct port and baudrate selected, then you may have a poor connection.

Check all cabling to the ECU and check that the cable is fully plugged into both the computer and the ECU.

If you are using a USB to Serial adapter, you may find that changing the USB port remedies the issue. It is possible that there is a lot of noise on the USB port that interferes with the serial device.

If you wish to change the USB port, please take care to ensure that the port is not in use whilst changing the port because this could cause the operating system to crash. You should normally click on the "Unplug Hardware" icon in the system tray on the task bar to allow the device to be safely unplugged.

Once you have changed the port, you will need to restart the Calibration Upload Tool so that it can detect the port correctly.

If you are still experiencing connection problems, then please contact your supplier for technical support.
