What the DA1 LEDs mean

Post by RickS » Wed Jan 23, 2013 12:02 pm

Green LED Status
ON = Logging
Short ON, Long OFF (strobing) = Logging Space Full
1/2 Hz Flash (1 flash per 2 seconds) = 25% of Logging space left (Only if Loop Logging is not enabled)
5 Hz Flashing (5 flashes per second) = 5% of Logging space left (Only if Loop Logging is not enabled)
OFF for 0.5 Secs, then 3 short flashes = No CAN data input
ON for 0.5 secs, then 3 short flashes = No Serial data input

Red LED Status
ON = Power and no errors
Short ON, Long OFF (strobing) = Hardware error (Contact GEMS)
1/2 Hz Flash (1 flash per 2 seconds) = Setup file is corrupt

Therefore, if all is well and good, when you are successfully logging data and not near filling up the memory, you should see solid green and red LEDs.

LED error priority:

This is the priority in which the LEDs will display the errors. If a higher priority error and a lower priority error are both active, only the higher priority error will be displayed.

Red:
1 - SPI flash chip error. (Return to GEMS)
2 - Wrong/Corrupt setup file.

Green:
1 - Logger full.
2 - No CAN input.
3 - No serial input
