A: There appears to be an issue in the "Soft Data Fax Modem" driver. Currently this issue can be resolved by disabling the driver (this will mean that the modem cannot be used, however). To disable the driver, go to the start menu and select 'control panel'. Select 'system' and go to advanced settings. On the 'Hardware' tab, select 'Device Manager'. Open up the 'Modems' item and right click on the 'Soft Data Fax Modem' and select 'disable'.
