Re: S.N. location & What is this?
Hi You need a computer running windows and a serial or USB port. The software you need is GWv3 which you can download from the website but you will need to purchase a dongle from us at £240 in order to connect to your ECU. I've attached the mini zeta manual for you. Fuel cut off is an interesting pr...

Re: S.N. location & What is this?
Hi there, I apologise this is a GEMS MINI Zeta ECU. It was made a long time ago for a few engines. It's a great ECU because it's so simple, reliable and works well. Because i didn't realise it's an old ECU I was wrong about the location of the SN. It's on a sticker on the side of the case (Right han...

Re: S.N. location
Hi Steven,
Unfortunatly the serial number on most units is stuck on a chip on the ECU PCB and therefore inside the ECU casing. If you know what the unit is who originally bought it and the date on which it was purchased we might be able to find it for you.
Hope this helps.

Re: Fitting Gems to Lotus S1 111s
Hi Ok after a bit of research i am a bit more clued up on this now. Correct me if i'm wrong but the very first S160's were rover engined, The engine for which this ECU was developed, which ran semi sequential injection only but also never ran VVC. So the plot has thickend so to speak. I am confused ...

I know Lotus do some limited manuals but i'm not sure they include this information. It's worth trying them, they might let you have one.

Re: Fitting Gems to Lotus S1 111s
Hi No probs ask as many as you like. The Lotus s160 ECU is refered to as the roverK EM20 by GEMS and i have attached a manual for it which includes the pinout. Sorry i should have attached ths earlier. If there is only a single 36 pin connector on your ECU it is very probable that the pin outs are t...

Re: Fitting Gems to Lotus S1 111s
Hi, The standard S160 ECU was not programable however it was possible to convert them to be programable. Do you know wether the previous owner did this? Seeing as you have been supplied with a dongle and lead he/she may have connected to it before. It is possible to run the S160 ECU on the 111s but ...

Re: EMS Security
Hi, User's can set a password under the ECU menu in the GWv3 software (you must be connected to the ECU in order to do this). The password will be required in order to make changes to the saved calibration in the ECU. If the user does not have the password the ECU can still be used, by selecting cle...

Re: base map for 97-98 modal subaru wrx
Hi there, I'm not sure what version ECU you were using when you mapped the ECU but still there should be some basic idle options as you describe. For example the calibration attached earlier in this thread includes a table called idle duty table which compares CTS to idle motor percentage change. In...

Yes it does, Run a wire from this pin to the live pin onj the switch. Then run your second wire from the ground pin on the switch to an earth on the car.
Hope this helps.

Re: TPS switch
No your TPS signal does not have to match the tps to load table.
Scale your tps raw and you will be fine.
Hope this helps

Re: v2.28 subaru 96 base map needed asap
Hi there,
Your tps to load is only used when the ECU detects that your MAP sensor has failed. Therefor the values here are 'safe' as in they are deliberatly high so as to avoid running the engine too weak and too advance. the top third of values should be around maximum.
Hope this helps

Re: v2.28 subaru 96 base map needed asap
Hi there, Are you setting the TPS min and TPS max to just below and just above the readings you get when you look at them in the paramters box with no throttle and full thottle? You should be easily inside the limits so i would recommend checking the rotation and wiring of the 98 when compared to th...
