Re: Mph to kph conversion for Subaru EMCD
OK we've investigated this and it looks like an error with the GIN file. The EMCD is quite old code and does not have configurable units. It looks like that axis is not referencing the correct value for wheel speed, is instead referring to a intermediate value, which just happens to look like an MPH...

Re: Mph to kph conversion for Subaru EMCD
So the parameter Wheel Speed reads correctly?
What does LFspd read when you are at 100kph?

Re: Mph to kph conversion for Subaru EMCD
All the calculations are done in KPH in the ECU. The fact it is not reading correctly suggests it is not interpreting the data from the wheel speeds correctly. Check check the following options: WhlCircm (Tyre circumference), WhlTeeth (teeth on the wheel speed sensor).

Re: New data logger range?
Fairly early stages at the moment, but yes GDA will still support the older loggers.

Re: GEMS Diff Controller for Subaru N11
From speaking to our engineer here, its basically an application problem. The EMCD was designed for the 2L version of the Impreza without the electronic throttle. Hence the CAN information to and from the unit looks to be different on your car - which I believe is the 2.5L version. Our engineer here...

Re: Maths function question
Try using the maths function filter_avg, this is a fairly basic but but works well with the rockingham data. There are a number of filter options available with more configurability.

Re: GEMS Diff Controller for Subaru N11
1) You can view live values by looking at parameters: View > Parameters. This gives you access to all the current values like wheel speed, demand etc. 2) This is referring to the active maps Map1A etc, which are the main control maps. This will be referred to unless overridden by the Fbrake table. HTH

Re: Maths function question
Good to see its accurate now. Yes you should change the setup for unsigned. The CAN output info in Motec should have displayed this. IF the data provided is correct, and there is no other scaling to do, then what Motec have said (which i believe was: "The GPS Lat and GPS Long are just split in 2, no...

Re: Maths function question
It looks like the HW of both could be missing a byte.
Is there anyway you can look at the HW and LW in Motec, you could then compare this to the raw values in GDA. From that you could tell whether the maths is wrong or the data is not being sent properly.

Re: Maths function question
What are you trying to do with these functions? As I have stated before a straight forward combine16 draws the correct track map. So what you are doing with those can not be right. Yes just doing the combine16 does give results that are about 20 miles off in position, but what you are doing seems to...

Re: Maths function question
So looking at your maths, I think you may have gone a bit to far! Have a look at the project that I have attached. Essentially doing the maths as suggested previously works fine. When creating the track, you need to make sure you do not include the duff data at the beginning, so in the source sectio...

Re: replace EM20 with EM40
Hello, If you install our older software GWv3 http://www.gems.co.uk/?content=pages&id=software-downloads , this has an import feature for the older files. Go to: File > Import. I'm not sure how similar the EM20 is with the EM40, I suspect there are many differences which will have to be set up manua...

Re: GEMS Diff Controller for Subaru N11
Yes the unit should work with the standard ABS unit. Sounds like it could be a problem with the CAN. Do you have copy of the calibration in the EMCD you could send?
Thanks
