Re: GEMS EVO 6.5 and HKS DLI II (Problems)
Hi Camo, Sorry for the delay. Have heard back from HKS but all they were able to tell me is that they have run a DLI with a GEMS EVO 9 ECU with out any problems. So the only thing we can think of is that some of the early EVO 6 ECU's had different pull-up resistors on the ignition outputs which migh...

Re: Rev limiter for each gear
Hi Karl,
Sorry but is not a feature we have ever included in any of units. In some units you can set lights based on gear position but not the rev limit.

Rico

Re: GEMS EVO 6.5 and HKS DLI II (Problems)
Hi Camo, Thanks for the info, no need for the serial number. There shouldn't be any problems but the DLI is something we haven't had any experience of. We have been on to our friends at HKS Europe who are getting back to us with any known issues/setup requirements. Will let you know when we hear bac...

Re: GEMS EVO 6.5 and HKS DLI II (Problems)
Hi Camo,
Could you give some more details about the GEMS ECU: version and if possible serial number, the version should be on a label on the eprom.
Also has the car been run with just the GEMS ECU? if so did it run ok?
Thanks
Rico

Re: 1995/6 SUBARU STI 3 PLUG ECU..
Hi Steve,
This does depend on the version. You can tell the version either from the sticker on the board itself or when you connect to the ECU with GWv3 the version will be displayed.
Regards
Rico

I cannot connect to my display (USB connection)
Unplug the display from the USB, then re-run the install program from the CD or from the website. This will re-register the display driver. Re-connect the display, should now connect. If the editor software is OK and working correctly, it might be that the Display is not 'hand-shaking' with the PC. ...

This ECU was not made by GEMS. It was a unit made by Lucas/Sagem which they called the GEMS engine management system.

How do I format data cards?
To format an SRAM card, insert it into a powered up DA97 data logger and wait for around 5 seconds. The card should now be formatted and can be programmed with a setup using DLOG97 or DLOG99.

Amount data logged much less than, time spent logging
Some lap tops do not repower the PCMCIA socket correctly when coming out of Suspend mode or Hibernate mode. Remove the card, re-insert it and try reading it again. If this doesn’t fix the problem, try uninstalling the card driver and let windows reinstall it.
