Re: Subaru 99 V2.31 RS232 logging info
Good morning.
I will ask the development team if they have a test RS232 stream but we usually use simulator driven ECUs to create telemetry streams, whether they be RS232 or CAN.
However, I will ask and post the response here...

Re: Sequencial Gearbox on Evo 8
A very good point, well made. There was a crossover point between Lancer8, 8+ & 9+ where a 'cut' option was also available but as mentioned, it is dependent upon which version of firmware is being run in the ECU. Lancer8 on S2.67 - S2.80 firmware (very common) only has retard functional. If the ECU ...

Re: Sequencial Gearbox on Evo 8
Correct - Torque reduction is through timed ignition retard only.

Re: Sequencial Gearbox on Evo 8
The 'Switch Torque Reduction' feature in the EVO 8 (firmware dependent) is the only aid to gear change in this ECU.
This is 'triggered' by a switch and not strain gauge.

Re: Fiesta st180 ecu
Thanks for the comments Mark... Jus' tryin' - ya know..!! It might appear that I'm being a little negative, regarding this thread. Maybe 'cautious' is a better word. I just would like to get all of the "ducks inline" before embarking on a new calibration platform. It saves nasty (read 'expensive') s...

Re: Fiesta st180 ecu
So, the upshot is that we, as I suspected, do not have any ST180 development on the cards for the foreseeable future. The ECU should be perfectly capable of handling the motor but without exploring the Ford's basic calibration, I am not in a position to quantify what resource we would need to commit...

Re: Fiesta st180 ecu
You're quite correct - There doesn't appear to be much info out there. We did some 'ST' tuning back a few years ago (on a older legacy ECU) but that was for a 'Port Injection Tuned' engine rather than DI. We tend to find tuners prefer the flexibility with PI rather than DI for a competition engine, ...

Re: Fiesta st180 ecu
We have one i4 DI ECU model - the GDi80...
As far as I know, we have not calibrated one for an ST180, but I will check.
The 'Product Information' for the GDi80 is in the document attached....
Best regards, RickS

Re: GEMSda50 wiring help
Good morning.... I will check with those who know this product and post responses.... Odd, if the analogues that you mention are directly connected to the DA50 and you are not getting data from any of them. I believe that the 'No Signal Com' message, is produced when there are no data being transmit...

Re: GEMSda50 wiring help
Just to confirm, if you are referring to the schematic of the DA50 loom, I don't believe that the DA50 gives a hoot what it's connected to. An EVO oil pressure sensor will have an analogue range similar to that of the Escort (etc. etc. ), I believe. I will check with the 'originator' when I can and ...

I have done a little research on this overnight and have received the following information. I hope that it is of some assistance.. BR, RickS Not 100% sure but it might actually work.
