Re: EM36 Synchronisation
hi Rich,
Attached is the current cal and a log from cranking.
One thing I have noticed from the ADR13 channel is that the cam pulse appears at different points relative to A_Tooth so I'm not convinced the crank sync is working correctly.
cheers

Re: EM36 Synchronisation
I solved the cranking speed last night so now its maintaining crankshaft sync when cranking. MX_Tooth_No is constantly reporting 34 and F_Tooth_No and I_Tooth_No are counting correctly. However, Miss_time is always reading between 54 and 52 yet MX_Tooth_time varies from 6646 to 21980? As for the cam...

EM36 Synchronisation
I'm trying to use an EM36 on a Ford Zetec engine. The engine is fitted with the stock VR sensors for crank and cam. Crank is a 36-1 trigger, and the cam provides one pulse ever 720degrees. Cranking with the plugs in I get I_Tooth and F_Tooth incrementing up to 12 and then go to zero at which point "...

Re: GWv4
In GWv4 with the EM36 how do you view the ignition map with rpm vs throttle angle instead of load (kPa)? This seems easy with the fuel map as there is a FuelThrottle group defined but this doesn't seem to be the case with the ignition map?
thanks

Re: 2.0l Zetec crank trigger
hi Ed,
That makes sense now.
Thanks for the diagnostics advice - I'm sure it'll be usefull!
cheers

Re: 2.0l Zetec crank trigger
hi Ed, Ok, I think I understand the processor loading issue although potentially the 1/0 solution could take longer to sync on initial cranking. However, i still can't get my head around the repeated 1,0,0,1? Surely it should be 1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,0,0,1,4,4,5,4,3...

2.0l Zetec crank trigger
I'm in the process of starting some maps for a 2.0l black top zetec for an EM36. Engine is using the standard ford crank (36-1) and cam (single pip) triggers. In the EM36 documentation it gives an example for the ford 36-1 trigger which specifies the "Tooth Control table is repeating 1,0,0,1, till 3...
