Can you elaborate on Switch A

A quote from your manual for EVO X-

A simple centre off switch may be used for encoding the ALS switches. With Switch A Source set to Analogue 17 the external mode switch input, Switch A Table = On and filled with :20,21,22,77,78,79,80, then with ALS in pin = 40 and ALS Mild in pin = 38.
Will give ALS Full active = On with switch to 5volts (pin 9 AS pink)
ALS Mild active with switch in centre off ( no connection pin 8 AS yellow)
No ALS with switch to ground (pin 2 AS black)

Can you elaborate how you derive at the values 20,21,22,78,79,80 to obtain pin 40 and pin 38. I don't seem to be able to get it.

Hi

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
When a 3 position switch is used it has three values of the supply voltage. If the supply voltage is say 5 volts to the switch then one switch position will equal around 95% of 5Volts, another will equal around 50% of 5 Volts and the third will equal around 5%. The switch A table determines the actual switching point the ECU will change modes. i.e. around 20% and 70%.

Does this make sense?
Thanks
Ed
